It has been reported that 'SpaceX' founder Elon Musk is working on providing broadband services in rural areas of India. Accordingly, it is also said that through Starlink, a branch of SpaceX, it has decided to partner with telecom companies in India to provide high speed broadband service in rural areas.
In the first phase, Starlink has decided to partner with Indian telecom companies to offer their broadband service in the identified areas, said Sanjay Bhargava, director of Starlink India.
It has also been reported that Starlink has received more than 5000 advance orders from India. It has also been reported that customers have paid Rs 7,350 as deposit amount. Starlink has also reportedly said that the internet connection will run at a speed of 50 to 150 megabits per second in beta state.
