India's first manned mission to space, Gaganyaan, will be implemented in the coming year 2023, Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh told Rajya sabha.
He said a test run on the related crew escape system will be conducted in the middle of next year.
He said ISRO astronauts will travel on a robot called Vyommitra in 2023 after testing it at the end of next year.
He said India will become the fourth country after the US, Russia, and China to send humans into space.
