Apple is expected to launch an augmented reality/virtual reality headset in the latter half of 2022 or around 2023. According to developers, Apple is likely to launch a dedicated operating system called 'Reality OS' to run the device at this stage.
The rOS Spot was reported in the iOS 13 to Build Free Release. Earlier in 2017, it was reported that references to the rOS had been released. It has also been reported that the AppStore Install Log has information about the same. 9 to 5mac reported on Apple products.
However, technically oriented persons have expressed a variety of opinions on this issue. Some have suggested that it may even be a code word.
