It's been about 1 month since Google actively used its hangout users to use the new text messaging app, Google Chat. The hangout app banner is displaying users to use their new version of chat. "The Hangout is about to end, so now you switch to Google Chat." Now that the change to business users is almost complete, Google is now asking Google Personal Account holders to switch to Google Chat.
This change for Google Hangouts users has been accompanied by google workspace branding for Gmail and other Google applications for weeks and stages.
However, The Star Rating available to Chat App on Google Play Store reveals that Google's Hangout to Chat compulsory other activity has not been well received by users. Google Chat is a new app that doesn't have all the features on Hangouts and doesn't seem to have attracted many users.

Users who have switched from Google Hangout to Google Chat, in particular, have complained that the lack of options for audio or video calls to chat is a huge minus. But this facility is available in The Hangout. Users reviews have pointed out that the Play Store does not have customized options on Google Chat, no SMS and stickers support, and there is no dedicated gallery browser to attach the media. A few users have criticized Google Chat for being worse than Hangout.
Using Google Chat is like taking a new car and forcing him to drive a very old vehicle that doesn't repair, One user replied in a Play Store Review. Google has responded to user's dissenting comments and assured that all grievances will soon be resolved and upgraded.

Soon the hangouts will be gone. So Google has not yet released official information about when the hangouts will be completely excluded from an operation, even if the warning message to switch to Chat on Gmail immediately comes to Hangouts users from time to time.
