CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Facebook has changed its name to Meta.
As a leading social networking site, Facebook is used by over 285 crore people worldwide. Speaking at the annual meeting of 'Facebook', its founder MARK ZUCKERBERG announced that the name of the Facebook parent company has been changed to 'Meta'.
He said he has learned a lot from struggling with social issues and it is time to create a new chapter with it. At the same time, he explained that their processors and their brands have not changed. Zuckerberg said the next step would be to turn his attention to the virtual online world of 'metawares', in which he hopes to have billions of users over the next 10 years.
Zuckerberg also said that Facebook's code in the U.S. stock market will be changed to MVRS, with effect from December 1. Only the name of the Facebook parent company has been changed to 'Meta'. Meanwhile, it has been reported that there is no change in the name of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram apps.
