Netflix, the world's largest streaming company, has made a new announcement about its Android app update. Accordingly, Netflix's Android App brings a new 2-feature called Play Something and Fast Laughs for customers. The company has confirmed that the 'Play Something' feature will now be available to all Netflix users on Android.
Netflix, a video streaming service company, started testing the Play Something feature earlier this year on Android devices used by customers in selected countries. Play Something feature is a random shuttle feature. It has been reported that this will help users find a new content that will stick to any random movie or TV show they love.
According to this feature, the Netflix algorithm will play the contents users want based on their desired content and their interests. This new feature is being taken up by Netflix on its own as the 'shuffle' function offered by many streaming services. The Play Something feature has already been on the desktop for a while and now we should note that Android users are also going to get an access to it.
Meanwhile, the Play Something feature has now been launched only for Android users. Netflix is said to be testing this Play Something feature on SSD devices in the coming months. According to a report in The Virgin, The iOS users will not get the Play Something feature immediately.
You will have to wait a few more months to experience this feature on Apple Device, including the iPhone and iPad. Another feature, The another feature Fast Laughs, has been available to iOS users since Last March. Users can use the Netflix Play Something feature with a new button provided on the home screen.
This feature can be found after users log in to the app and choose their profile. Netflix's new feature, The Fast Laughs, fun viral video clips from Insta Reels, YouTube shorts and Tiktok to play on full screen vertical format and entertain users. Users need to get a dedicated menu on the Bottom Bar that appears on the home screen to access this feature.
